Edwin K. Miles, PRP

Edwin Miles is the principal parliamentary and organizational development services consultant with The PE Miles Group. In this role, Edwin works with corporate, non-profit and fraternal organizations and their leaders providing expertise and guidance in areas including the development, review and revision of bylaws; serving as a meeting parliamentarian and writing scripts for presiding
officers and committee chairs; serving as a professional presiding officer and meeting facilitator; drafting parliamentary opinions; and delivering parliamentary workshops and training. Edwin is a Professional Registered Parliamentarian (PRP) conferred through the National Association of Parliamentarians and has been involved in the study and practice of parliamentary procedure since his collegiate days.

Edwin maintains an extensive business network in the San Antonio community through his involvement with the Alamo City Black Chamber of Commerce where he has served as chair of the board of directors. He also serves on the board of directors of Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas where he is a member of the governance and missions committees. Edwin has led at the highest levels of his 110-year-old fraternal organization including as a regional director; vice chair of the PBS Impact Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the fraternity; chair of the human resources committee; and as the international parliamentarian.

Edwin is a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP) and the American Institute of Parliamentarians (AIP). He is also a member of the Texas State Association of Parliamentarians (TSAP) where he serves as first vice president and extension committee chair. Edwin served as the Workshop Coordinator for the 2024 NAP National Training Conference and was recognized as the 2024 Parliamentarian of the Year by the Texas State Association of
Parliamentarians.

Edwin is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University with a degree in Political Science and post graduate work at Texas State University in Public Administration.
